THE jury is still out on whether former Novocastrian Mikey Robins will return to Good News Week.
Host Paul McDermott wasn't giving anything away during a chat with The Word yesterday.McDermott, the acid-tongued cherub of satire, will reprise his role as host of the current affairs comedy show when it returns to Network Ten in February 2008."I can't tell you who will be the two captains for the show. But there will be some familiar faces and some new faces on the show and we are also hoping to expose Australia to some great comedians, performers and poets," McDermott said.Well, now that's as clear as mud. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if the ever-shrinking Robins turns up on the box.In 1996 Robins began a five-year stint on Good News Week. He currently hosts a show on Sydney radio station Vega alongside Newcastle-raised Tony Squires and Rebecca Wilson.Robins is a former member of the 1980s Newcastle-based cabaret troupe The Castanet Club.
